The Brenthurst Collection of Southern African Art

The library collections contain historical documents, texts and media which may contain terminology, depictions, perspectives and biases that are racist, sexist, homophobic, or otherwise discriminatory and offensive by modern standards. In the interests of historical integrity, it is the policy of the library to preserve the material exactly as it was created, rather than censoring, altering or deleting the original content. The material reflects the era in which it was created, not the current values of the library.
