Ivory snuff container. Shaped like a pot with lid, with fine incised decoration representing a feather, snuff-box and snuff-spoon etc. The base is filled with a perforated disc of ivory, rather loose, and perhaps a leather strip joined this base to the lid where there are two small holes which may have secured the other end. It smells strongly of tobacco and is dark brown inside.
